The Cloisters Museum and Gardens

The Cloisters Museum and Gardens
99 Margaret Corbin Dr
Washington Heights
212 923 3700

Thanks to the generosity of John D. Rockefeller, Jr. this museum and the surrounding Fort Tryon Park exist today for our pleasure. Formerly one of his estates he donated to the City of New York, The Cloisters is a branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art dedicated to the art and architecture of medieval Europe. It’s a great way to spend the day in upper Manhattan.
