Smaltz Foundation/Studio Museum 3rd Annual Caregivers’ Symposium
Alzheimer’s is a BLACK WOMEN’S CRISIS! It is a devastating disease that affects over 5 million Americans. African Americans are two-times more likely to develop Alzheimer’s than Whites and almost two-thirds of Americans with Alzheimer’s are women. Women are also more likely to be the caregivers leading to adverse consequences in the workplace with nearly 19% percent of women Alzheimer’s caregivers having to quit work either to become a caregiver or because their care giving duties became too burdensome.
Please join us for our 3rd Annual Alzheimer’s Caregivers’ Symposium on Saturday, October 15th at 10:00am, where you will learn more about Alzheimer’s impact, share in information and resources that can help you or a family member or friend cope, and leave with action steps.
