Brief Bio
Jeffrey T. Sammons is professor in the Department of History at New York University and the author of Beyond the Ring: The Role of Boxing in American Society. He specializes in U.S. social and cultural history with research and teaching interests in African-American History, military history, black autobiography, film history and sports history.
