We asked who’s who in Harlem and you answered! Uptown is home to some of the city’s most sought-after bars, nightlife, and dining and with your help, we were able to put together a go-to Harlem list with all your favorites chosen by the people who live here!  Click on each image for more details.

Harlem’s best restaurant goes to Red Rooster, located in the heart of Uptown serving comfort food celebrating the roots of American cuisine and the diverse culinary traditions of the neighborhood.


The best spot to take bae out for an evening dinner is Vinateria with its chic, contemporary vibe to complement the wine, cocktails and an upscale Italian & Spanish-influenced menu.


Is there a scene anywhere in NYC that can hold its own against Harlem? The best place to people watch, strut your new fit or just to get out of the house is Red Rooster named after the legendary speakeasy that attracted some of the most noteworthy figures of the 20th century


No one does Brunch like Harlem but if you’ve been to Blvd Bistro, you know exactly what’s goin on! Harlem’s best brunch spot is both a family business and a personal calling with a husband and wife team behind what chef Carlos calls “Crafted American Soul” food.

67 Orange Street has been Harlem’s best cocktail destination for a few years now. Named after a 19th-century speakeasy that thrived in the heart of the prohibition era, the space is unbelievably cool with a small room downstairs for larger gatherings with your people.


You haven’t had fried chicken in Harlem until you’ve been to Charles’ Country Pan Fried Chicken! After 30yrs, Charles continues to set the standard for locals seeking authentic Southern cuisine at affordable prices.


Melba’s has the mac and cheese that will make stay there all day! Being born, bred and buttered in Harlem, Melba knew she wanted to stay close to home to provide a comfortable dining experience to the community that raised her.


A refuge from the hectic pace of life in the city, Lido Harlem was voted the best place for good eats that will get you back to business instead rather than back at home for an afternoon nap!


Harlem’s favorite coffee shop is the place where we gather in the mornings to catch up on neighborhood happenings! You can count on Harlem Coffee Co. for freshly roasted coffee, background music you actually like & even fast, reliable wifi to prep for your morning meeting!

BlackPanther in the park with ImageNation was poppin! HarlemStage & SummerStage always bring amazing Black artists Uptown to share their talent where it’s loved the most! That’s what makes Marcus Garvey Park special! We all come together to make this space magical!


If you’ve ever been to First Fridays at The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, you know why the community chose them as Harlem’s favorite Arts and Culture institution! So much fun, so much learning, and true self-exploration happen at The Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture!


Malcolm X Blvd is the one place in the world where you can go to have a world-class dinner, pick up souvenirs, grab a coffee, grab a drink, go dancing, Harlem shake, eat at Harlem Shake NYC, start a business and make it home in time for your shows all in the same day!


On a mission to celebrate the food, culture & inspire others is our favorite Uptown celebrity; Marcus Samuelsson! As the man behind Red Rooster, Ginny’s Supper Club & Harlem EatUp, Marcus never hesitates to show his love for our history, intertwining Harlem flavor into all of his work!

With an entire roster of amazing musicians, Uptown’s favorite band, led by saxophonist Rakiem Walker and vocalist Gloria Ryann, is known for its thundering jazz and afrobeat anthems that remind us that The Good Life always has been, and always will be in Harlem!


Just blocks from Harlem’s treasured Morningside and Central Park; Harlem Tavern is your go-to spot when you and your friends are in search of good food, better drinks but you have to bring the kids along!
